Viper Coolmax socks review

Viper Coolmax socks review

Supplier:

The item was supplied directly from the UK supplier of all Webtex, Jack Pyke, Viper and other products. There customer service is fantastic and did everything they promised they would, usually they would respond within 1 hour of my emails and were very polite. They even phone me to discuss my requests more so they didn’t get anything wrong.

Packaging:

Item was packed into a larger box with the three other items I ordered. The final space was packed out with packaging to avoid movement and damage during transit.

Postage:

Item was shipped via DHL express and arrived lunchtime the following day. The box was in good condition and no damage.

1st Impressions:

The item was very well packed in its packaging. They were really comfortable to wear and gripped the foot well. These items seem excellent made with no defects and come with a 1 year guarantee.

Construction:

These socks are made from 40% wool, 40% Acrylic and 20% Nylon.

Benefits:

The socks offer some good benefits over normal socks. Firstly the socks are designed to move sweat away from the skin directly to the outer layer of the sock. Secondly the coolmax fabric in the sock dries faster than other fabrics resulting in keeping the foot drier helping your feet to breath easier. The fabric also is designed to regulate the body’s temperature better by drawing the heat away from the skin via the sweat.

Comfort:

Extremely comfortable during a long 8 hour day of skirmishing and I still felt like I could wear this all night and day and keep going. I was surprised at how comfortable these socks were over standard boot socks. The support the socks gave was also noticeable. The sock is windproof so can be used for sleeping in if you don’t want to wear your boots while you sleep. These socks are top of my kit list on every outdoor activity from hiking to gardening to Airsoft.

Conclusion:

These socks can not only be used for wearing in cold weather to keep the foot warm and reasonably dry (sweat only, not water ingress) but also in hot weather to keep the foot cool during long days on boots. I wore these in desert boots and my foot stayed remarkably dry and comfy. Usually I end up with a sweaty foot and feeling uncomfortable. This item I would severely recommend as it’s so comfy and useful.
